Art Deco Asscher cut diamond flanked solitaire ring. Set to centre with an octagonal Asscher cut diamond in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.80 carats, flanked by six round old cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.40 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.20 carats, to an elegant flanked solitaire design featuring curving split claws, an intricately pierced gallery and shaped open backholing, leading to trumpeting split shoulders supported by cheniers flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum, circa 1930.
