Vintage diamond cocktail ring. Set in the centre with a round old cut diamond in an open back claw setting with a weight of 0.70 carats, encircled by two spiraling rows of eighteen tapered rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back channel settings with a combined weight of 0.80 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.50 carats, to raised fancy cluster featuring polished borders, structured openwork gallery and intricately pierced backholing, flanked by smoothly conforming shoulders flowing down to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum and iridium, American, circa 1950.
