Centrally set with an Burmese oval cabochon natural unenhanced star ruby in an open back four claw setting with an approximate weight of 2.40 carats, flanked by two kite shape baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.20 carats, further set with a spray of eight rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.24 carats and encircled by eight round old cut diamonds in open back grain and cutdown settings with a combined weight of 0.24 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.68 carats, to an attractive cluster with a finely pierced gallery and fancy backholing, the V-shape shoulders flowing smoothly down to a D-shape shank. Marked platinum, maker's mark, numbered '956', circa 1935.
