Diamond cocktail ring. Set on one side with one tapered baguette cut diamond in an open back claw setting with a weight of 0.20 carats, further set with forty one round eight cut diamonds in open back bead settings with a total weight of 0.80 carats. The combined approximate diamond weight is 1.00 carats, to an asymmetric cocktail ring of curving fan shape, above an ornate openwork gallery set with cheniers, with pierced backholing and on a tapered ribbed shank. Tested platinum, circa 1940.
