Set to centre with a marquise shape old cut diamond in an open back rubover setting with a weight of 1.00 carats, surrounded by twenty two tapered star top natural unenhanced rubies in open back channel settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.50 carats, flanked by four round single cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.04 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.04 carats, to an elegant target cluster ring with millegrain decoration, an intricately pierced open gallery with scalloped details and finely shaped backholing, the raised shoulders flow down to a solid square shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold with platinum settings, French control mark, circa 1905.
