Ruby and diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural no heat Siam ruby in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.30 carats, encircled by eight round transitional cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.84 carats, further decorated with two tapered baguette cut diamonds in open back half-rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.24 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.08 carats, to an impressive cluster design featuring curving claws, a structural open gallery and open backholing, leading to inwardly tapering split shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank with grooved detail. Marked platinum, indistinct maker's mark, circa 1960, French, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #81313-81.
