Glossary: Transitional Cut

Transitional Cut

A transitional cut diamond is a round diamond cut seen from the late Art Deco era, eventually evolving into the round brilliant cut diamond. They often have a larger table and smaller crown than old cut diamonds, taking on a similar shape to modern round brilliant cut diamonds, but without the standardised proportions, angles and facet arrangements.
