Colombian emerald and diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with an octagonal emerald-cut natural Colombian emerald with insignificant oil in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 1.40 carats, further set with thirty four round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.90 carats, further decorated with two round rose cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.04 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.94 carats, to an ornate cluster design with foliate motifs, featuring millegrain edging, an intricately pierced gallery with chenier detail and fancy open backholing, leading to inwardly tapering shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum and tested yellow gold, circa 1915, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5782-053.
