 Description

Edwardian Sapphire and Diamond ring. Set to centre with one cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.60 carats, flanked by two cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.90 carats, further decorated with four cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.35 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.25 carats to an impressive cluster design featuring millegrain edging, an intricately carved gallery and fancy open backholing, the raised shoulders flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, circa 1910, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5782-2472.
