Sapphire and diamond ballerina ring. Set to centre with an oval old cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.20 carats, surrounded by six round brilliant cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 0.45 carats, further adorned with six rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 0.30 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.75 carats, to a ballerina cluster ring with curving claws, a linear openwork gallery and shaped open backholing, the tapering shoulders with chenier detailing leading through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat white gold and platinum, circa 1970, English, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #79199-86.
