Victorian pearl and diamond cluster ring. Set with one central cushion shape old mine cut diamond in open back grain settings with an approximate weight of 0.75 carats, encircled by four oval natural pearls in closed back rubover settings, further set with thirty two round rose cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.64 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.39 carats, to an elegant cluster design featuring a cutdown bezel, engraved gallery and round open backholing, flanked by trumpeting grooved shoulders flowing down to a solid tapered ribbed square shank. Tested yellow gold, circa 1880.
