Victorian Burmese ruby and diamond three stone ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural no heat Burmese ruby in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.15 carats, flanked by two cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw and grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.20 carats, decorated with six cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back grain and rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.12 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.42 carats, to a impressive three stone deisgn featuring curving double claws, an ornately carved gallery with scrolling motifs and open backholing, leading to carved shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold, circa 1890, accompanied by American Gemological Laboratories report #1135484.
