Sapphire and diamond three stone ring, of European royal provenance. Centrally set with an oval cabochon cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back claw setting with a weight of 3.38 carats, flanked by two cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.30 carats, to an elegant three stone design featuring curving claws, a pierced gallery and open backholing, the smooth shoulders flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold, circa 1890, accompanied by accompanied by Swiss Gemmological Institute (SSEF) report #140855.

This ring is in excellent condition.
Old mine diamond three stone ring, circa 1900.
Old mine diamond three stone ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 0.90 carats, flanked by two cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.70 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.60 carats, to a graduating three stone design featuring polished edges, a pierced linear gallery and circular open backholing, leading to smooth shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested rose gold and silver, circa 1900.
