In the 1950s, cocktail jewellery was plentiful, with large heavy weight designs in yellow gold being hugely popular. Stone set with bright, beautiful, coloured gemstone cabochons found their way into the popular conscience. Bigger rings in particular were in fashion, with raised curved designs and mixed metals.

This particular ring features a popular 1950s arrangement of coloured gemstones paired with a bold domed design. Due to their heavy gold contents, few of these vintage rings remain in circulation, adding to their rarity.
