TOURMALINE

Tourmaline has been regarded as the gem of long-lasting love and friendship since ancient times.  The name is derived from the Singhalese word 'turamalli' which was applied for the first time when some of these stones were brought from Ceylon to Amsterdam in 1903. They may occur in pink, red, yellow, blue, brown, black or green. The hardness is 7 to 7.5 on the Mohs scale. View our current collection of Tourmalines
