JAR is the signature of Joel Arthur Rosenthal, the American-born jeweller who established his Paris atelier on Place Vendôme in 1978. Widely regarded as one of the most influential jewellery designers of the modern era, Rosenthal has earned the title "the Fabergé of our time" for his extraordinary creativity and craftsmanship.

After working for Bulgari in New York, Rosenthal returned to Paris and, together with his partner Pierre Jeannet, opened his own jewellery house in 1977. JAR jewels are instantly recognisable among collectors for their sculptural forms, masterful use of colour, and intricate pavé gemstone setting.

Drawing inspiration from nature, Rosenthal creates remarkable jewels that capture the beauty and complexity of flowers, animals, and organic forms with extraordinary realism.
