Our Collection Of Hemmerle Rings & Jewellery

The stories behind our Hemmerle Rings

Building on this distinguished heritage, the Hemmerle brothers introduced their own creative vision, exploring new materials and redefining traditional craftsmanship. Their excellence was quickly recognised: in 1895, they were appointed Purveyors to the Court by Luitpold, Prince Regent of Bavaria. The house became renowned for its elaborate “bejewelled fantasies,” created for Ludwig III of Bavaria, the Bavarian government, and prominent noble families.

At the height of the Art Nouveau and Jugendstil movements, Hemmerle gained international acclaim at the 1900 Exposition Universelle in Paris, notably for its intricately enamelled Bishop’s Cross set with gemstones.

Following its success, the maison established its premises on Munich’s prestigious Maximilianstrasse, where it remains today.

A pivotal transformation occurred in 1970, when Stephan and Sylveli Hemmerle led the house into a new, contemporary era. Inspired in part by a client who favoured 19th-century iron jewellery over modern gem-set pieces, Hemmerle began pairing exceptional gemstones with unconventional materials. This innovative approach has since become a defining signature of the house.
