Atelier Bouder became renowned for their exceptional goldwork and precise gemstone mounting and created pieces for many of the celebrated French jewellery houses. Following the death of Jacques Lenfant in the 1990s, Bouder acquired of the historic workshop of Georges Lenfant which strengthened its connection to a distinguished tradition of French goldsmithing, particularly the intricate woven and textured techniques synonymous with the Lenfant name. The woven goldwork in this ring’s gallery reflects that tradition of treating precious metal like fabric, bringing texture and refinement to a detail often hidden from view.
