Georgian diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old mine diamond in a closed back grain setting with an approximate weight of 1.30 carats, encircled by twenty-two cushion shape old mine diamonds in closed back cut-down settings with a combined weight of 0.20 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.50 carats, to an exceptional early cluster ring featuring ridged claw detail, a polished gallery and closed backholing, leading to rounded shoulders which flow through to a solid round shank. Tested yellow gold with silver settings, circa 1830.
