Colombian emerald and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with an octagonal emerald-cut natural Colombian emerald with minor oil in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.50 carats, surrounded by twelve cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw and grain settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.50 carats, further set with 12 round rose cut diamonds in rub over settings with a combined weight of 0.12 carats.The total diamond weight is approximately 1.62 carats, to an impressive elongated cluster design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and open backholing, with carved shoulders that taper through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat gold, French import mark, engraved '25 anniv, Mai 1872', circa 1870, accompanied by Gemmology Certification Services (GCS) report #5786-2432.
