Pink Ceylon sapphire and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with a drop shape old cut natural unenhanced pink Ceylon sapphire in an open back rubover setting with a weight of 6.18 carats, further set with twenty three cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back rubover and grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.05 carats, enhanced with two round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings, with a combined weight of 0.04 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.09 carats, to an elegant elongated cluster design featuring millegrain edging, a decorative gallery with intricate piercing and ridged detail, and fancy shape open backholing, leading to raised shoulders and flowing through to a solid shank. Tested platinum and white gold, circa 1915, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report 80246-57.
