J. E. Caldwell vintage ruby and diamond cocktail ring. Set with twenty round old cut natural no heat Burmese rubies in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 2.50 carats, combined with twenty round brilliant cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.50 carats, to a bombé shaped tapering cluster of six petalled flowers, featuring curving claws, a smoothly conforming gallery and ornate open backholing, flanked by curved shoulders leading through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum and iridium, signed 'J.E.C. & Co', engraved 'M.A.D. 12-25-58', American, circa 1950.
