Diamond and calibré cut synthetic sapphire ring. Set with one central round old cut diamond in an open back rubover setting with a weight of 0.15 carats, with twenty two round rose cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.30 carats, and sixteen channel set calibré cut synthetic sapphires in open back rubover settings. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.45 carats, to an ovoid plaque with alternating rays of diamonds and synthetic sapphires, enhanced with millegrain borders and all above an arched openwork gallery with pierced backholing, the split shoulders continuing through to a D-shape shank. Marked yellow gold with platinum settings, French import marks, circa 1920.
