Emerald and diamond crossover ring. Set with a octagonal step cut natural emerald in an open back claw setting with a weight of 0.40 carats, further set with a round old cut diamond in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.65 carats, adorned with eight cushion shape old mine diamonds with a combined weight of 0.60 arats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.25 carats to an elegant crossover design featuring stylised claws, a pierced gallery and circular open backholing, leading to asymmetric sinuous shoulders which flow through to a solid ridged D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, circa 1910.
