Kashmir sapphire and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to center with an oval old cut natural unenhanced Kashmir sapphire in an open back claw setting with a weight of 1.48 carats, surrounded by ten cushion shaped old mine diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.30 carats, flanked by two cushion shaped old mine diamonds in open back grain and rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.24 carats. The total approximate combined diamond weight of 1.54 carats to an elegant coronet cluster design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, leading to broad shoulders and flowing through to a chamfered shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, circa 1890, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5784-0497, SSEF report #137020.
