 Description

Edwardian sapphire, ruby and diamond ring. Set with one round old cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 0.25 carats, further set with one round old cut natural unenhanced ruby in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 0.25 carats, surrounded by thirty four cushion shape old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.68 carats, to a linear cluster design featuring polished borders, stylised claws and open backholing, leading to tri-split shoulders with a foliate pattern and flowing through to a tapered ridged D-shape shank. Tested rose gold and platinum, circa 1905.
