 Description

Sapphire and diamond cluster ring. Centrally set with cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back grain setting with an approximate weight of 0.75 carats, adorned by twenty six cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back cut-down settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.50 carats, to an elegant cluster design with polished edges, an intricately pierced gallery and circular open backholing, the broad integrated shoulders with fluted detail, taper through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold with silver settings, circa 1900, accompanied by Swiss Gemmological Institute (SSEF) report #131302.
