 Description

Edwardian Burmese sapphire and diamond ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Burmese sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.10 carats, flanked by two cushion shape ole mine diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.80 carats, to an elegant three stone design featuring curving claws, a decoratively pierced gallery and open backholing, leading to inwardly tapering shoulders with chenier detail and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, circa 1910, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5784-2633.

This sapphire has been assessed by Gemmologial Certification Services (GCS) as being likely Burmese in origin, report #5784-2633.
