Sapphire and diamond three stone ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cutnatural no heat sapphire in an open backclaw setting with an approximate weight of 0.80 carats, flanked by two round old cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.70 carats, to an elegant three stone design featuring curving claws, pierced gallery and shaped open backholing leading to graceful tapering shoulders flowing through to a solid slim D-shapeshank. Testedplatinum, circa 1950, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #79199-98.
Vintage three stone rings are rich in symbolism and meaning, with the three stones holding a different meaning for everyone. Romantically, they can stand for three special words such as ‘I love you’, ‘you, me, us’, or even ‘the past, present and future’. To some, they can symbolise the presence of others in their life for example children, the holy trinity or even a lasting friendship.
