Colombian emerald and diamond cluster ring. Set with a rectangular emerald-cut Colombian emerald with moderate clarity enhancement in an open back corner claw setting with an approximate weight of 2.00 carats, flanked to top and bottom by two curving tapered rows of channel set rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings, sixteen in total with a combined weight of 0.70 carats, further set with a cluster of thirty two round old cut diamonds to tapered rows in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 2.00 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.70 carats, to a bombe openwork cluster design with polished edges, a structured wirework gallery and intricate pierced open backholing, the ridged split shoulders flowing down to a solid ridged split shank. Marked platinum, hallmarks for Alessandria, Italian, circa 1970, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5774-444 and The Gem & Pearl Laboratory report #24578.
