Colombian emerald and diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with an octagonal emerald-cut natural Colombian emerald in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.35 carats, further decorated by fourteen cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw and grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.55 carats, to a coronet cluster design featuring curving claws, a pierced gallery with ridged detail, and fancy shape open backholing, leading to trumpeting carved shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold, circa 1880.
