Victorian diamond cluster ring. Horizontally set with three cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back grain and claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.27 carats, encircled by twenty cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back grain and claw settings with a combined weight of 0.6 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.87 carats to an elegant triple cluster design featuring subtly scalloped edges, an intricately pierced gallery and open backholing, flanked by trumpeting shoulders flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold, circa 1900.
