Vintage diamond solitaire engagement ring. Centrally set with a round old cut diamond in an open back claw setting with a weight of 0.85 carats, met on either side with two rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.15 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.00 carats, to a raised square collet featuring fancy split curving claws, finely pierced geometric gallery and intricate backholing, the squared shoulders include a chamfered edge which smooth to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum, signed 'H.B', English, circa 1950.
