Diamond flanked solitaire ring. Set to centre with a round old cut diamond, Q-R colour, VS1 clarity, with a weight of 4.51 carats, in an open back claw setting, flanked by eight round eight-cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.16 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 4.67 carats, to an impressive solitairefeaturing broad claws, a linear gallery, and fancy shape open backholing, the raised shoulders flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat white gold, indistinct maker's mark, French, circa 1950, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America (GIA) report #1226798045.
