Diamond cluster ring. Set with a round old cut diamond to centre in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.40 carats, flanked by two rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.20 carats, further set with six round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.10 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.70 carats, to an openwork cluster featuring polished edges, an intricately pierced gallery and circular open backholing, flanked by trumpeting shoulders which taper down to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum and iridium, American, circa 1950.
