Vintage diamond cluster engagement ring. Set with a round old cut diamond to centre in an open back corner claw setting with a weight of 0.40 carats, flanked by two rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.20 carats, further set with six round old single cut diamonds in open back grain and millegrain settings with a combined weight of 0.10 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.70 carats, to an openwork cluster with an intricate pierced gallery and circular backholing, flanked by shaped shoulders to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum and iridium, American, circa 1950.
