Vintage aquamarine and diamond cocktail ring. Set with a rectangular step-cut natural unenhanced aquamarine in an open back split corner claw setting with an approximate weight of 29.29 carats, flanked by eight tapered baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with an approximate weight of 1.05 carats, further set with twelve round brilliant cut diamonds in open back claw settings with an approximate weight of 1.90 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.95 carats, to an impressive geometric cocktail ring featuring linear grooved detail, a structured openwork gallery and shaped open backholing, flanked by trumpeted shoulders with raised borders which terminate to an angular solid tapered flat shank with raised borders. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, tested platinum, circa 1970.
