 Description

Victorian sapphire and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with a round old cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back claw setting, with an approximate weight of 0.90 carats, surrounded by ten cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back grain and cutdown settings, with an approximate combined weight of 0.80 carats, to an elegant coronet cluster design featuring an intricately pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, the inwardly tapering shoulders flowing through to a solid D-shaped shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and tested silver, circa 1890, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report reference 5783-3339.
