Art Deco sapphire and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with a rectangular step-cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 0.70 carats, encircled by fourteen round transitional cut diamonds in open back grain settings, with a combined approximate weight of 0.60 carats, further set with four round eight-cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.08 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is approximately 0.68 carats, to a geometric coronet cluster design featuring smooth borders, a linear open gallery and fancy open backholing, flanked by raised shoulders that terminate in ridged detailing, flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum, circa 1935, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5783-3163.
