Description

Victorian ruby and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Siam ruby in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.40 carats, encircled by eleven cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back cut-down settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.35 carats, to a floral cluster design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery with scalloped motifs and open backholing, leading to inwardly tapering shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold and silver, circa 1870, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5782-2063.
