The brooch set to centre with a cushion shape old mine diamond in a closed backgrain setting with an approximate weight of 0.40 carats, to a round brooch with a raised central plaque engraved with an eight-pointed star, enclosed within fine ropework and radiating border, further encircled by a concave round plaque featuring decorative edging, fitted to reverse with a circular open locket with glass cover and a secure hinged pin with scroll clasp, safety chain and secure circular suspension loop, accompanied by a matching pair of earrings, each set with a cushion shape old mine diamond in a closed back grain setting, two in total, with a combined weight of 0.30 carats, to an articulated drop earring with an eight-pointed star central motif, fine ropework detail and radiating border, surmounted by a golden orb with fine ropework detail, bordered by open scrollwork and fitted to reverse with a secure shepherd's hook, approximately 3.8mm in length to top of hook. Tested yellow gold, circa 1860, accompanied by fitted box.
