Victorian diamond marquise shape cluster ring. Set centrally with a cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back grain setting with a weight of 0.70 carats, framed by a row of twelve cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back grain and cutdown settings with a combined weight of 1.10 carats and further set to the shoulders with eight round single cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.15 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.95 carats, to a marquise shape coronet cluster design with a finely pierced gallery, open backholing and leading to scrolling split shoulders and a D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, English, circa 1880.
