Description

Victorian diamond five stone ring. Set horizontally with five round old cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 2.30 carats, further adorned by eight round rose cut diamonds in open back grain and rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.08 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.38 carats, to an impressive five stone ring featuring curving claws, an ornately carved gallery with scrolling motifs and open backholing, leading to slightly raised carved shoulders, and following through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, tested silver and platinum, circa 1900.
