Victorian Burmeseruby and diamondcluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cutnatural unenhanced Burmese ruby in an open backrubover setting with a weight of 0.40 carats, encircled by a single row of ten cushion shape old cut diamonds in open back cut down and grain settings with a total approximate weight of 0.40 carats, further flanked with two cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Burmese rubies in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.65 carats. The total approximate ruby weight is 1.10 carats, to an elegant cluster design with an ornately pierced gallery and open backholing to tulip motif shoulders terminating in a carved double scrolling pattern to a solid D-shaped shank. Tested yellow gold, circa 1890, accompanied by a Gemmological Certification Services report #79194-54.
