Star ruby and diamond ring. Set with one round cabochon natural unenhanced star ruby in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 6.00 carats, flanked by six rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a total weight of 0.30 carats, all in a pierced surround and encircled by twenty four round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a total weight of 0.70 carats. The combined approximate diamond weight is 1.00 carats, to a horizontal cluster with millegrain details and scalloped silhouette, all above a pierced geometric gallery with open backholing and finished with split shoulders and a D-shape shank. Marked platinum and iridium, maker's mark 'SZK', American, circa 1950.
