Art Deco diamond cluster ring. A round old cut diamond is set to centre in an open back grain set box collet setting with a weight of 0.60 carats, encircled by a cluster of forty eight round old single cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.70 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.30 carats, to an elegant tapered oval bombe cluster with linear openwork throughout, a scrolling open gallery and intricate pierced backholing, tapering at the shoulders to a solid lightly rounded shank. Tested platinum, circa 1930.
