Set slightly raised to centre with a natural unenhanced oval old cut ruby in an open back claw setting with a weight of 1.25 carats, flanked by two cross over scrolling rows of channel set tapered baguette cut natural unenhanced rubies in open back rubover settings, twenty two in total with a combined weight of 2.20 carats, further flanked by six round brilliant cut diamonds in open back grain settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.24 carats. The combined approximate ruby weight is 2.45 carats, to a scrolling cluster with pierced work to the gallery with cheniers, intricate backholing and heavy protruding shoulders flowing smoothly down to a solid ridged shank. Marked platinum and iridium, numbered '36547', American, circa 1960, accompanied by authenticity certificate from Oscar Heyman.
