1950's diamond cluster ring. Set vertically to centre with three round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.50 carats, further decorated with twenty two round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.70 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.20 carats, to an ornate marquise shape cluster featuring scrolling openwork with millegrain edging, an intricately pierced gallery with chenier detail and open backholing, leading to decoratively engraved shoulders and flowing through to a tapering D-shape shank. Tested platinum and iridium, American, circa 1950.
