Diamond flanked solitaire ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut diamond in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.90 carats, further set with eight round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.14 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.04 carats, to a flanked solitaire design featuring polished edges, a decoratively pierced gallery and open backholing, leading to gently sloping shoulders which flow through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum, circa 1950.
