Burmese sapphire and diamond ring. Set with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Burmese sapphire in an open back four claw setting with an approximate weight of 3.70 carats, flanked by two tapered baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.00 carats, to a geometric design with polished edges, a linear openwork gallery and fancy open backholing, the trumpeting shoulders tapering to a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum, circa 1935, accompanied by Deutsche Stiftung Edelsteinforschung (DSEF) Gemstone report #014776 and Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) report #81319-27.
