Gem set flower vase brooch, circa 1935. A platinum brooch in the form of an urn of flowers, the body of the urn set with one hexagonal carved rock crystal, the flowers composed of various gemstones including four oval carved rubies in claw settings with an approximate total weight of 4.00 carats, thirteen marquise shaped old cut amethysts in rubover collet settings with an approximate total weight of 1.50 carats, ten round old cut citrines in rubover collet settings with an approximate total weight of 0.50 carats, and forty eight round eight cut diamonds in bead and collet settings with an approximate total weight of 1.00 carats, the reverse mounted with a hinged pin, and in a fitted red leather box marked 'By appointment to the late King George V/ THE GOLDSMITHS & SILVERSMITHS COMPANY LIMITED/ 112 REGENT STREET, LONDON, W.1'
